After stepping down from OCALS' Presidency Rose has remained on the Board of Directors and taken on the role of Leadership Development Chairperson, in addition to chairing our board's Accreditation Committee. All board members assist on other committees as needed; therefore, Rose also assists with fund development and community relations. With her extensive background in non-profit and literacy organizations Rose feels she can best help our board president and the OCALS organization by seeing where voids exist and doing what's necessary for the growth and well being of OCALS. Due to the loss of prior literacy organizations in Orleans County, she is very conscientious about the stability and future of OCALS. Rose played a major role in finding a home for our base of operations in the new Hoag Library in Albion. She also played a major role in obtaining accreditation from ProLiteracy. Rose has always been totally dedicated to the success of our organization, and OCALS has benefitted greatly from her extensive knowledge and experience in literacy.
